Flying a drone in central London is not for the faint-hearted. There are a series of no-fly zones to contend with, airports to navigate, helicopter areas, the Port of London Authority, the Met Police and landowners' permissions to arrange.
Feeling overwhelmed? Don't worry - we're here to help you every step of the way.
Typically speaking, we recommend reaching out to us around four weeks before your shoot day, as this allows us to ensure a timely and smooth process with the relevant authorities. Depending on the shoot complexity, we can make the necessary arrangements for last-minute applications, but success is not guaranteed.
Please note that some of these authorisations require additional fees, but we will always do what we can to save you money.
Not all areas in London are this complicated. For some projects, taking off from a rooftop, using a small sub250g drone is the right tool in the toolbelt. Other times, our flagship drone, like the DJI Inspire 3, may be required to capture the highest quality video of the big smoke. Whatever you need, we're here to help.

Our DJI Inspire 3 with RTK
Our flagship drone for aerial filming is the DJI Inspire 3. With its stunning X9-Air camera, full frame sensor and range of DL lenses, this aircraft combines impeccable flight performance with a RAW 8K image.
The party piece for the DJI Inspire 3 is its RTK system - the first of its kind in any cinema drone. RTK is a super-accurate type of GPS, allowing for millimetre-level accuracy when in flight. This is a cinema robot arm in the sky.
But what does this mean for DOPs and directors? The DJI Inspire 3 allows for perfectly repeatable flight paths. For day-to-night time-lapses, high-end visual effects (using motion control) or long-term construction project updates, the RTK system unlocks new ways of shooting and opens up a range of new options to creatives.
