FPV Drone

Heavy-lift FPV DRONE Hire

FPV "first-person-view" drone filming is quickly becoming a highly-utilised tool in the film industry and we are helping to lead this cinema revolution in the UK. Traditional FPV drones mainly use action cameras, such as GoPros due to their decent quality and low weight, but at Bad Wolf Horizon, we wanted to take this even further.

"Cinelifters" are the industry name for heavy-lift FPV drones - aircraft which can lift a payload of up to around 3kg. This means our cinelifter FPV drone platform can carry a RED Komodo and lens with ease, along with any other camera or lighting system that you can throw at us.

This is important to directors and DOPs, as we can match the cameras on set with massively improved dynamic range, image quality, codecs and colour science. This means we can create breathtaking cinema-quality images with all of the advantages and flight characteristics that cinematic FPV can bring to your production.

Our standard camera cinelifter configuration comes with our Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k, which can shoot in up to 4k 120p in ProRes or BRAW.

Using the Sony A7S III, Canon R5, Freefly Wave, or even specialist lighting? Let's get it flying!
